Bubble Baller

Bubble Baller depicts an otter gliding through a quiet underwater garden. Its long, curled form is shaped from flowing quilled strands in rust red and deep brown, with pale golden accents highlighting the muzzle and tail. Bubbles rise around the swimmer, while a watercolor backdrop of muted greens, blues, and warm peach gives the scene a soft, spacious atmosphere.

The contrast between the dimensional paper work and the loose watercolor plants brings movement and texture to the composition. Inspired by the charm of otters, the piece pairs their fluid swimming motion with the delicate detail of quilling.
